Buyer inquiries typically drop during the festive season and things don’t really pick up again until late January, so sellers might be disadvantaged. However, managing director of buyers’ agency Propertyology, Simon Pressley says it can still be a good time for those sellers needing to move to their next home. “If you’re selling and the price is less than what you were hoping to get, it’s still closure,” says Pressley. “You’re not going to be able to reconsider [offers] for probably four to six weeks before things get back to normal.
