New research out today by national property analytics company CoreLogic reveals 8 of the 10 top performing suburbs in the state are close to the water — and they’re not the usual suspects. Homes in Thorneside, Palm Beach and Elanora have surged in value by more than 15 per cent in just 12 months. And while house prices might be coming off the boil south of the border, property experts are seeing no signs of a slowdown here, with strong demand for affordable, lifestyle properties. “We don’t see the same slowing in the Brisbane or southeast Queensland market,” CoreLogic head of research Tim Lawless said. “It doesn’t have as high a level to fall from for starters, then you’ve got its sheer affordability, strong rental yields and population growth.” Read More Here
